"Out of nothing" Art Exhibit

What a busy summer it has been. It was my first summer off with my kids to just play, relax, enjoy the beautiful weather, and CREATE! I was able to participate in Grande Prairie's first outdoor art exhibit and it was a huge success. I sold a couple pieces and met a lot of great people. A huge thank you to the City of Grande Prairie (Bill Given rocks) and the Unique Gallery for putting on the event. I hope it is the first of many to come. I was able to showcase my artwork, as well as, paint live throughout the day. It was tuns of fun. I am starting to re-build my collection in hopes of potentionally participating in Edmonton's Art Walk next summer. I am also busy starting on Stacey and Bevans'  custom pieces.  I want to thank everyone who has just been so supportive of me pursueing my passions and dreams. You all rock!

Here are some photo's of the "Out of nothing" exhibit, including the batman inspired piece I painted throughout the day.

The Painting I did throughout Sunday

This past Sunday was a huge success and was even more fun. I met some pretty amazing people in the art community, and a lot of big supporters as well. The graffiti wall was a blast to create with everyone who stopped by. It will be auctioned off and the money will be donated to the city's art funds to help put together more art events. Even though the first day we were rained out, it was great to be outside in the sun finally on Sunday and paint in the fresh air.

A huge thanks to Ellen and Dan at the Unique Gallery for putting this event together, as well as, Bill and the City of Grande Prairie for supporting and allowing this event to take place. I look forward to more events like this!

Stay tuned for more pictures!

Hey everyone. I have been so busy lately and need to get back on this thing and get updating! I have been busy selling pieces and getting ready to start on my first wall mural project this month. I am so excited to be trying something new for me.... and terrified as well! lol  I am sure it will all turn out just fine.

I am going to be in the upcoming event hosted by the City of Grande Prairie,  Saturday July 21st. They are putting on Grande Prairie's FIRST outdoor art show. It is going to a fun day as you are able to mingle and watch the street performers throughout the day, and then venture over to the alley behind Unique Gallery, and check out all the amazing artwork. I am going to be one of 11 local artists being displayed and selling their work. There will be everything from paintings, to potty, to grafiti art displayed. You are also able to participate in creating some of your own work! So make sure you come down and check me out and have a great day in a great city! Til then....
